Our Assistant Project Managers support one or more of our Project Managers, who oversee new construction and renovation projects from start to finish. You will help to ensure maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction on every project. You will assist the Project Manager with ordering materials, monitoring jobsite safety, supervising subcontractors, and coordinating the workflow throughout the construction process.
Our ideal candidate has some construction management experience or training, and a strong desire to help create a sustainable built environment through the use of high-performance building practices. Preferred knowledge and skills include:
- Exceptional organizational, customer service, and communication skills
- Basic knowledge of single-family residential construction
- Working knowledge of project management software and other technologies (e.g., MS Office) required for communication and tracking of project status

WHO YOU ARE
You are the person providing support to the Project Managers. Your role is to work alongside the Project Managers to oversee all aspects of a project from start to finish, to ensure maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction. You should have the skills to facilitate all activities and oversee personnel on the job site.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains working knowledge of project management software and other technologies required for communication and tracking of project status
- Provides exceptional customer service and maintains consistent communication with all team members
- Supports the Project Manager in generating detailed estimates and contract documents
- Works closely with the Project Manager, client, design team, and Lead Carpenter on all phases of project development to assure there is adequate project documentation in place prior to construction start and adherence to project documentation, budget, and schedule once the project has started
- Assists the Project Manager with developing and maintaining project schedules for client decision-making, material ordering, subcontractor coordination, crew scheduling, inspections, and construction tasks during both project development and construction phases
- Facilitates team meetings with architects, clients, site leads, and subcontractors, and produces accurate meeting notes
- Manages the product and material selection process, including coordinating spec sheets, procurement, delivery, and installation
- Maintains up-to-date project documentation including drawings, material schedules, and specs
- Creates a project job closeout owner manual that includes as-built drawings, material schedules, operation, care, and maintenance instructions
- Assists the Project Manager in producing RFIs, RFPs and change order documents as needed and in a timely fashion
- Supports trade partners with material procurements, scheduling, and inspection coordination
- Assists the Project Managers with tracking and monitoring all project costs for comparison to budgets
