How We Work with Architects
Whether you have training in green building design or not, BPC Green Builders will work with you, from the project’s inception and design phases all the way through construction.
Pre-Design
We’ll meet with you and your client to review the project’s performance goals and to consider third-party certification options. We’ll also visit potential building sites and give recommendations on materials, alternative construction approaches, and other aspects that help the home meet high efficiency standards. Even if you aren’t a green-trained architect, we can help keep the project aligned with green building standards and practices.
Design
Throughout the design process, we’ll provide informed input on green building materials and high-efficiency systems to help you meet your client’s performance and budget goals. As the process progresses, you can count on BPC to provide increasingly detailed price estimates that will help you lock down costs for the homeowner. We’ll also help select and specify products and systems that perform to the high standards that green certification demands.
Construction
In order for a home to be built truly green, the home builder must be trained and knowledgeable in green construction. We vital that we are involved from the earliest steps of the design process to ensure that once the project reaches the construction phase and your work winds down, we are in the best position to build a high quality, long lasting, and green certified home.
